In the generatorium, Lucius watches the action in the hangar through the pict cams. He activates the radio vox link and confirms, "That is a good copy Inquisitional detachment, we await your arrival." He will then focus on what he can do to aid the friendly forces within the hangar... watching as the firefight continues."

He opens the bases internal vox and announces, "Inquisition assets in our AO, friendly air assets will be above the facility momentarily, prepare for friendly reinforcement."

In the lower cargo storage area, Sila reaches out to Tauron with pale ghostly fingers, her face a soft rendition of his mother.

Tauron looks at her with sad compassion then his eyes narrow and he screams, "Your parlor tricks are wasted on me witch!" The young noble lunges for her. His fingers close around her throat and he knocks her to the ground, her eyes go wide as his grip crushes down on her windpipe. Flecks of spittle fly from his lips as he chokes her banging her head against the solid rockcrete floor.

Kron spins and kicks at Taurons head, but he only catches his shoulder and the enraged noble continues to throttle Sila.

In the hangar, Stig crouches down with Lazerus as another volley of las fire smacks into their cover. The big guardsman returns fire with the heavy stubber, but the weapon jams.

Curtis drops prone and sprays a burst of las beams towards the house agent trapped by the crates, but her angle is bad and the blasts pass over them.

More las beams come from across the hangar behind the shuttle, impacting the crates near Stig and Lazerus and splattering them with molten plasteel.

The trapped agent fires their plasma pistol at Curtis but can't get low enough. The shot hits the back wall of the hangar with a flash and sharp explosion of super heated molten stone.

Lazerus tosses his grenade, it bounces off the pile of crates and rolls up to the feet of the shadowy figures. The smoke clears for a second and Lazerus thinks he sees Inquisitor DeBaine. The grenade detonates a fraction of a second later and a tremendous flash of blue light follows as a personal force field defects the explosion. The redirected blast engulfs trapped house agent and peppers the side of the ruined shuttle with shrapnel.

A heartbeat after the blast, with everyones ears still ringing, Inquisitor DeBaine steps out of the smoke and fire. He is dressed regally in custom carapace armor lacquered in dark blue, his helmet is off and his intricate mustache is groomed with machine precision. A red cape flows behind him with a flourish as he steps foward, a ornate staff gripped in his right hand. A surly looking group of operatives shift gracefully out of the smoke behind him. Latilla, looking younger and fresher than ever is just to his left and a step back. She wears armor similar to Debaine's but done up in burgundy, a great tome is chained at her hip. The other operatives look like the worst kind of killers and witches.

"Not really the best way to welcome your master, now is it, Zuriel?" DeBaine says in a humorous tone.

The operatives, including Latillia disappear into the hangar and bolter shots are heard.

Lucious seeing the Inquisitor will stride out of the Generatorum and up to the hangar... seeing the conflict going on with the noble he will use his Vox feedback to stun the noble then grapple him off with his mechandrite.

Curtis will walk around the hangar and attempt to find Father Proze's body, on her way running into one of the operatives she will take his Bullpup lasgun. Once she finds him she will holster his grotesque plasma pistol saying "forever I shall have the ability to be a martyr, but until then I shall take up your arms against the enemies of the Emperor" she will say that as she brings his body to the inquisitor. when she arrives at the Inquisitor she will say "he fought well, but was martyred at the hands of these enemies... I request he have a proper burial and that I may attend, if that is applicable Inquisitor" she will have tears in her eyes as she says the last part.

Stig will clear the jam in his weapon behind cover while Lazerus sprints over to make sure the house agent is really dead.

If he is, Lazerus will return to Stig and wait for the Jam to clear. If he isn't, Lazerus will finish him off with his shotgun and then return to Stig.

tauron will defend himself as best he can against anyone trying to cause him harm.

In the hangar, Stig flips open the top of the stubber, clears the jams and brings the gun back to bear with uncanny speed.

Lazerus sprints forward to check if the house agent is dead, but stops short when he sees only a few chunks of the body remain after the grenade blast. He is beginning to feel weaker as his head wound continues to bleed, running down his neck into his armor.

Curtis hurries to Father Prose, stopping only to pick up an extra las gun on the way. She kneels by his cooling body and takes up the gruesome plasma pistol and speaking quietly says, "Forever I shall have the ability to be a martyr, but until then I shall take up your arms against the enemies of the Emperor."

There is a loud crash from the stairwell to the hangar. The one Lucius blew up earlier.

In the large storage room, Kron grabs Tauron and tries to pull him away from Sila, but the to large shirt Stig loaned the noble pulls off and Kron flies back landing on his arse a few feet away.

Sila brings her knee up into Tauron's groin and the noble doubles up with a hoarse groan. He releases his grip on her neck but remains on top of her.

Lucius strides out of the generatorium. Upon seeing the current violence and carnage spread out before him he bustles in his vox screeching with ear splitting tones. He tries to grapple Tauron with his mechadendrite pincer, but the agile noble rolls away from him.

Back in the hangar, Inquisitor DeBaine walks slowly over to Lazerus' position. His mirth full smile is gone and a dark scowl lines his face. Dim blue fire flickers in the depths of his piercing eyes.

"Well, Zuriel, what have you found for me?" He asks looking down at Lazerus.

"Sir. So far we have only found a lunatic who claims to be a noble of some sort, it appears that the pirates controlling this base were conducting experiments of some sort. We have found quite a number of combat servitors here along with plasma weaponry, non-imperial by the looks of it. We have been unable to penetrate very far into the base itself yet, we only just got the power restored when these guys showed up." Lazerus will say while pointing to the chunks of corpse.

"We have sustained several casualties, Sila was possessed by some sort of demon and Lucious has managed to acquire what I strongly suspect to be a demonic artifact of some form. That is the short version of my report, I will have a more lengthy version ready for you shortly after we are extracted. If that is satisfactory, may I deal with this sir?" Lazerus will ask, pointing to the head wound towards the end.

tauron will crawl to his nanny's body and yell "you get up woman! there is no lazing about! i dont care where you've been shot, i want to go home!" he'll then take her weapon and shoot her body until the gun is dry.

Lucious will look at the scene unfolding in complete astonishment, upon recording the young noble's vocal patterns under complete stress and hysteria he will continue onward to the hangar... stopping to pat Silia on the shoulder then help her up pointing to the hangar. He will then continue up to the hangar.

Curtis will carry the priest in her arms to the Inquisitor saying, "He served you and the Emperor well unto his dying breath." She will set the priest down at the Inquisitor's feet and start crying while looking into the Inquisitor's eyes. "He died a hero, a martyr he would say..."

In the hangar, Lazerus straightens up under the scrutiny of his Lord.

Inquisitor DeBaine nods. "Very well." He says in a noncommittal tone.

Latilla returns to the Inquisitors side. She speaks quietly with him for a moment, then he points down the bullet riddled hallway and makes a few brief gestures with his hand. Latilla moves off down the hallway at a brisk pace.

Curtis shuffles up carrying the remains of Father Prose. She lays the body reverently at DeBaine's feet. Still down on one knee she looks up with wet eyes. "He served you and the Emperor well unto his dying breath. He died a hero, a martyr he would say..." She chokes up on her words and cannot finish.

DeBaine stares at her as if trying to remember her name. "His body shall be shrined with the saints, his name carved in the rolls of honor and his soul shall sit at the Emperor's right hand. We can all only hope to die while at his great work."

Stig still holding his weapon at ready looks confused.

Down in the storage room, Lucius records a few samples of Tauron's anguished howling. He then moves to Sila, give her an awkward pat on the shoulder and marches away and climbs up the cables to the hangar.

Tauron crawls across the blood soaked floor to his Nanny's cooling corpse. He grabs at her clothes, yelling "You get up woman! There is no lazing about! I don't care where you've been shot, I want to go home!" He then scrambles to his knees grabs her las rifle and begins firing it into her body.

Kron walk up and smashes the young noble in the back of the head with his pistol butt and the man falls forward unconscious onto the smoking corpse of his nanny.

Sila crawls to her feet, her throat already fading from bright red to a dull blue black bruise color. She presses her hand to her throat and whispers. Blue light flickers around her fingers and when she lowers her hand her throat is returned to normal.

Two of DeBaine's operatives, the =I= symbols on their matte face plates glowing slightly, move into the storage room from the side hallway and then continue on down the other way.

Lucious will continue up to the main hangar, briskly walking at his normal pace. once he arrives he will brief the inquisitor on his findings saying "greetings inquisitor and apologies for the confusion with the anti aircraft guns, here is my report. Col. Heart and Commissar Jenkes of the Tamaxian Guard Regt stationed here on this planet have been funneling the pirates guard grade equipment for some sort of kick backs explaining why the codes match on these boxes for instillation 66796 of this planet. The base's cogitator here is only 5 standard imperial centuries old but has been tainted with the foul stench of dark mechanicus workings, currently within the cogitator is a daemon that I have sealed within the 7 levels of mechanicus encryption. currently awaiting orders on termination or transfer of specimen. Dark Mechanicus technologies also have been noted here within this instillation from the servators who's wetware and hardware fittings have been corrupted, to the xeno over in that hallway... a frog like creature using some form of xeno exo suit. also through my findings on this installation through its cogitators I have found that there is more to be explored and reclaimed if a mechanicus contingent is allowed to journey here." He will look over at Lazerus and say "this will conclude my short brief of my findings, hopefully this aids in our original objective of infiltrate and acquire information, capture as many secrets as possible... were the direct commands given" he will look back to the inquisitor "more will follow if inquired and a written report will be submitted to you within the week if requested"

Curtis will look up teary eyed and say "thank you sir... thank you, it was all he ever wanted to do... to serve the emperor"
she will then look at Lucious "what of Mordakai... or Buurdok... THEY GAVE THERE LIVES TOO!"
