Lazerus ignores the commotion behind him and the psychic scream and advances to the hallway. He cautiously peers inside using his lamp pack to illuminate the darkness. The Hallway is a mess of broken wall panels and sagging conduits. There is a closed door at the far end. Something spider like, about the size of a human head, skitters across the lamp packs beam and disappears into a hole in the wall.

Curtis looks back as Kron screams in her mind. She speaks breifly to the care takers behind her.

"I want your fields of fire covering that entrance, cover me while I do what I must." She says. The men move into cover and train their weapons on the hall entrance.

Lazerus beckons for the team to follow as he moves into the hallway lamp held steady on the hole which the thing went into.

Stig dismounts from the Dakar and moves to the doorway to provide covering fire for Lazerus.

Curtis runs back to Sila and reads her final rites from the Imperial hymnal, she looks at Kron and asks him to read multiple passages. He remains motionless, kneeling on the floor holding the still bleeding Sila. He ignores all of Curtis's attempts of communication.

Lucius ignores the meatbag drama and moves straight to the data port. He connects his links and immediately finds his mind once again filled with the horror of the black mechanical bird skull. It screams with laughter in his mind, sparks pouring from it's snapping beak.

"YOU RETURN SO SOON! YOU ARE MINE ALREADY! A NEW TOY FOR ME TO RECONFIGURE IN MY OWN IMAGE! COME TO ME YOUR GLORY AWAITS!"

Lucius tries to ignore the madness raging in his brain and find the maps and schematics he seeks.

"THIS IS WHAT YOU DESIRE!" The skull face shouts and Lucius memory core is dumped full of maps of incomprehensible machine labyrinths and mazes of engines and blood.

"I WILL SEND A HARVESTER TO LEAD YOU TO MY SIDE, CHILD!" The data terminal is cut off with a audible click and Lucius is thrust back into the reality of the vehicle bay.

The door at the end of the hallway slams open and a blinding white light shines within.

Curtis after reading the final passages of the hymnal will place Sila's hands in that of a resting position and close her eyelids shut. She will place her hand on Kron's shoulder and say "The emperor has her soul now, she was faithful and served him well... She is at his rite side now, but we must continue or else we all shall share her fate."

Curtis will then help Kron up and then move back towards the hallway, she will tell the men to advance while covering each other with their fields of fire, buddy rushing positions of cover until they meet the objective.

Lucious will immediately configure a containment protocol to contain the information dump, deleting from his memory files all corrupted files and tainted code in that dump. Lucious will then start to go over the layout of the mining facility and determine where they are going based on current location information. He will then start to look around and determine the best course of action, which will then be to start walking down the hallway. His arms crossed walking a leisurely pace, all of his attention to containing the files now in his memory core along with a proper firewall protocol.

Lazerus squeezes his eyes shut and drops to one knee, his glasses polarizing but not enough to block out the light. He shields his face with one hand while he fires his autogun on full auto in the direction of the light, spraying that end of the hallway with bullets.

Stig similarly squeezes his eyes shut and pulls back behind the corner to get away from the light while he switches to his stub automatic.

Curtis finishes reading the passages and then sets Sila's hands at rest and gently shuts her eyes. She places her hand on Kron's shoulder and says "The emperor has her soul now, she was faithful and served him well... She is at his rite side now, but we must continue or else we all shall share her fate."

She helps the stunned Kron to stand and he moves slowly like a wooden puppet following her lead.

Lazerus drops to one knee shielding his eyes from the glare and fires full auto into the doorway.

The light remains.

Stig ducks to one side away from the light and switches out his weapons.

Curtis orders the confused and terror filled custodians forward with caution. They heed her will seeming glad to have orders to follow. They move forward under cover and set up close range lines of fire on the hallway.

Lucius weaves a containment protocol around the frenzied screaming skull tearing at his mind. It shatters into a thousand black fragments which reel screeching though his mind like crows over a corpse field, screeching. The beleaguered tech priest suffers the onslaught and using a lesser subroutine continues to scan the schematics of the facility. He determines the hallway to be the best forward course and disengages from the data port. Immediately the birds and noise cease. The Tech priest walks into the hallway, his arms folded over his chest. He registers a greatly increased temperature zone in the area of his pocket where the black key is nestled.

As Lucius reaches the lighted doorway a large shadow falls over it. The silhouette is of a giant hunch backed humanoid, but it has too many limbs, long and weird. It shivers and jerks it's spindly fingers clenching.

Lazerus follows Lucious down the hallway and fires at the shadow on full auto when it appears.

Stig turns the corner and starts advancing down the hallway, but he sticks to one side of the corridor and doesn't fire as he can't tell the targets apart.

Lucious will jump towards the wall and go prone while everyone opens fire on the creature

Curtis will give the order to open fire with controlled bursts from their rifles, she will walk amongst the custodians yelling "select your target and fire with controlled bursts!" Trying to rally the custodians.
