Lazerus and Stig share a knowing glance as Lucious finishes his message. They head towards the generatorium at a trot dragging Tauron behind them.

Prose looks at Curtis and speaks softly.

These souls have given their lives unto the great enemy, I feel as though I will be joining them by the end of this day, but at the rite side of the emperor... for I do not know how much of this abuse I can take at my body's current status. I am sorry to tell you this Curtis, but every of the faithful has at their core an ability to become a martyr, remember that child."

He pulls the ancient plasma pistol from the death grip of the frog-daemons body and tucks it into his cassock.

Lucious hails the craft once again but the response is always the same, a screech of jammed signal feedback.

His synthetic voice echoes from the vox speakers, "Unidentified craft vectoring on approach sweep. 27km and closing."

Lazerus, Stig and Tauron dash into the storeroom. Curtis urges Prose to follow and then falls in behind them.

Lazerus stops at the elevator and hoists himself up the cable. Stig continues on into the generatorium with Tauron.

Curtis follows Lazerus up the cable. Prose is to weak to climb.

Stig and Tauron burst through the doors to the generatorium. Sila and Kron are surprised partially drawing weapons before recognition sets in. Lucius head down and mechadendrites plugged into the cogitator array doesn't even notice.

Stig removes the shackle from Taurons left wrist and reattaches it to a conduit along the battery stacks.

"Where are the others?" Asks Kron weakly.

Stig sprints back out to the storage room and climbs up tot he shuttle hangar. As he crawls over the lip he see's Lazerus and Curtis take up a position behind a stack of stolen cargo crates near the ruined shuttle. Stig quickly moves tot he far side of the shuttle and sets up his stubber for a nice crossfire.

Lucious' voice barks from the vox grills.

"Unidentified craft is slowing for landing. Trajectory aligned with this bases hangar bay. I will report visual data promptly. Estimated landing time after visual report 3 minutes."

Proze will attempt to activate the cargo lifter now that the power is back online to go up, if that doesn't work he will attempt a climb up the rope.

Lucious will continue to give updates on the enemy craft, also while he is on the computer see if he can find anything in the hangar that may be of use to the group through inventory files

Lazerus and Stig will continue to hunker down and prepare for the shuttle's arrival. They will take the best lines of fire they can find and they will load fresh ammo into all of their weapons.

tauron will ask those around him to give him a weapon, and free him, and certainly if not one, the other. he will then say "its mostly likely my family, my brother is in the guard and most have heard of my missing. or perhaps my father, he does like to know i'm in good health. do let me go please, only i can make sure they dont shoot you all upon arivail they arent the most understanding when it comes the shackling one of the nobel family..."

Prose watches Stig haul himself up the cable then shuffles around to the control panel and pushes the down button. The huge platform begins to hum and lowers slowly. When it reaches the floor the corner which was slagged by the melta gun jams against the rockrete and the whole elevator shakes and groans and then the safety switch trips and it stops.

Lucious simultaneously sifts through the base files and watches the incoming craft in vector graphics of livid green light. He realizes all of the data files stored in this bank are very old, left over from the mechanicus contingient who previously dwelt here. His rasping voice barks from the vox speakers.

"Approaching craft identified as a modified delta class gun cutter. Heavily armed and armored. They are cruising in at assault speed. Approximate landing time 1.5 minutes. Prepare yourselves."

Stig and Lazerus lock and load. Curtis whispers a prayer to her weapon or the Emperor it is hard to tell.

In the generatorium Tauron smiles and looks coyly at Sila and Kron.

"Will you not free me. If danger is imminent it only seems reasonable to add a skilled hand to your forces. Free me. Arm me. I will aid you. If not the first mostly certainly the latter. That brute has chained me to a pipe. I do not wish to die so ignobly. Let not a son of such a grand imperial house be cut down whilst shackled to a grimy pipe in a forgotten basement of hell. Aid me!"

Sila just stares at the boy, her eyes narrowed. Kron frowns. He walks over to Tauron and looks him up and down. The boy feels a sharp chill move up his spine as the psyker examines him. Kron draws his weapon.

"No!" Shouts Sila holding out a hand, just as Kron shoots the shackle chain in two.

"You're your own responsibility now." The pale psyker says and walks away.

Prose crawls up on to the lift and presses the up button. The lift again shakes and groans and then rises up to the hangar deck only getting stuck at the last meter and shutting down. Prose crawls up on to the hangar deck and stands up undaunted.

Lucious' voice broadcasts once again. "Approximately 30 seconds to landing. The vessel is not decelerating."

Proze will hobble up to a good firing position with his weapon at the low ready prepared for the incoming enemy

Lucious monitoring the bases defenses will continue to watch as the craft makes its incoming descent contemplating to himself wither to activate the lascannon anti aircraft guns, to close the gate or to just let the thing ram into the hangar at such high velocity... he will choose the later, watching intently through the bases optics

tauron will say "i'm going to see if that metal fellow can get me through to this ship. i'm quite certain its one the family's, come to find me." he will then set off towards the tech preist.

Lazerus and Stig hold to their positions. The sound of the approaching craft can be heard over the jungle now.

Prose limps into the cover with Stig.

In the generatorium Tauron says, mostly to himself, "I'm going to see if that metal fellow can get me through to this ship. I'm quite certain its one the family's, come to find me." He strides over to Lucious.

Lucious announces, "Approach speed well exceeds operable landing vector. 10 seconds to impact."

The scream of the gun cutter fills the shuttle bay. The craft is visible for a split second as it soars over the jungle canopy. The nose of the craft almost hits the bulkhead as the pilot pulls up at the last second. The craft goes from horizontal to vertical almost instantly. As the gun cutter flashes away seven bodies drop from the rear of the craft and fly into the hangar at that same speed. A helix of smoke grenades spiral away from them into the hangar and everything is obscured as the sound of seven grav chutes activating fills the room.

Lazerus and Stig will continue to hunker down until they can see what's going on.

"Friendly!" Stig will yell, trying to get a response from the team.

If the team doesn't respond, Stig will shoot at anything that moves.
