This is a great gaming event and it gets bigger every year. It runs concurrently with the 2009 Old Dominion Open Scale Model Show and Contest, which is also a great event.

It’s times like these when I feel like I’m 10 years old again. When role playing games were rare, mysterious, and kick ass awesome. The idea of a Rogue Trader RPG is all those things and more. Fantasy Flight seems to have really picked up the ball and run with it on all things 40k. They have several Dark Heresy Books coming out this year and now this. I must have this.

Goblin Mini Marts own, Commander Krieg, has finished his IG bunker/landing pad just in time for a new Plastic Valkyrie to swoop in and perch on it, deploy a surly command squad to the HQ bunker and then swoop off again to deliver some las cannon wrath to the enemies of the Emperor. All styrofoam and sheet styrene, this great piece of terrain will be gracing the tables of our FLGS, Waterloo Minis. I expect to be occupying it with a fat horde of stinking green skins, landing my deff coptas on it and parking my trukks all up on the lawn, sometime in the near future.

I’ve seen a lot of scratch builds of this apocalypse super heavy over the last few months, I guess it was only a matter of time, before the sculptors at Forge World couldn’t help but make this incredible looking kit for it. This thing is epic. It’s huge and super detailed, the under structure is made up of miles of sinuous cabling studded with the writhing bodies of the damned. This thing is 100% daemon engine. The high gloss paint job really brings it all home nicely.
