Our local Richmond branch of Games Workshop located in the Stony Point Fashion Park (woohoo fancy) is closing it’s doors at the end of this month. While the store does a decent turn of business and the local community support of the hobby is huge, rumors say the mall charges to much rent on the space and refuses to negotiate. I can understand that. But why not move across town to a more affordable locale, instead of abandoning the area entirely? I can’t say. GW is strange and confusing corporate animal.
So folks if you want to buy GW products locally after January 28th. You’ll have to try out One Eyed Jacques in Cary town, Hobbytown USA in the West End, or Waterloo Minis in Ashland.
I have to say I’ll miss the old shop. I never got in there as much as I would have liked but I made some good friends and some good memories.
So to all the displaced gamers, Goblin Mini Mart, would like offer the community connecting services of our forum. Find people to game with and places to do it, post WIP shots of your army projects and chat about the different rules systems and games you enjoy. Hope to see you there.
