I sure do love to scratch build some Stompas, but this model, like the Battle wagon, is growing on me like a bit of fungus. I may just have to get one or lots just for the enjoyment of assembling them. I just love these crazy big kits. Hear that GW?!

Games Workshop has release a 360 view of their new plastic Bane Blade variant kits. They bring out the same high level of detail as the original kit and really make this a versatile model. Really makes you want to play Imperial Guard.

Every 40k player loves to dream about Forge World models. They are beautiful in their details and often unobtainable in their pricing. So we dream of them.

Our local Richmond branch of Games Workshop located in the Stony Point Fashion Park (woohoo fancy) is closing it’s doors at the end of this month. While the store does a decent turn of business and the local community support of the hobby is huge, rumors say the mall charges to much rent on the space and refuses to negotiate. I can understand that. But why not move across town to a more affordable locale, instead of abandoning the area entirely? I can’t say. GW is strange and confusing corporate animal.

So folks if you want to buy GW products locally after January 28th. You’ll have to try out One Eyed Jacques in Cary town,  Hobbytown USA  in the West End, or  Waterloo Minis in Ashland.

I have to say I’ll miss the old shop. I never got in there as much as I would have liked but I made some good friends and some good memories.

So to all the displaced gamers, Goblin Mini Mart, would like offer the community connecting services of our forum. Find people to game with and places to do it, post WIP shots of your army projects and chat about the different rules systems and games you enjoy. Hope to see you there.

New from Forge World, the Valdor Tank Hunter is a true thing of beauty. I’m very excited about the level of creativity in this model. Not only is the sculpting top notch as always, but the design is truly inspired and brings a new level of gothic sci-fi to the Imperial Guard tanks which I’ve always wanted to see. I understand that the IG is inspired by WWII armies but the setting is the 41st millenium. I’m really glad to see that reflected in this Neutron laser sporting tank hunter. I hope the Forge World team continues in this very awesome direction.
