The best box set Games Workshop has ever produced hits stores this Saturday! Most everyone, who has been drooling over this since the first sprue pics came out has already pre-ordered one or two. Waterloo minis has a big ole game of Apocalypse 40k the first Saturday of every month. So on September 6th I hope to be there with my ever growing Waaagh! I’d love to take my slow growing Chaos renegades and heretics mess but they don’t have quite enough cultists to be apocalyptic yet. Our own Commander Krieg is busy slapping together some terrain as I write this (hopefully) and it should be a good time all around. So anyone who reads this, grab up your little plastic dudes and come on over. This is the best game in town until we get The Goblin Mini-Mart Apocalypse league up an running.

The book we’ve all been waiting for is up for preorder at Forge World. The second part of the Siege of Vraks campaign looks great. The first book was beautiful and a fun read with lots of really nice pictures and art so I have high hopes for the second. I really excited to see it includes a “Servants of Slaughter” renegades and heretics army list, Which should go well with all the models I’ve been obsessively collecting and I know our friend, Commader Krieg, will be pleased to see the Death Korp will now have the mighty Reaver Titan added to their list.

Waterloo Minis is having another painting contest. Here’s what Rob has to say about it.
“Please join in our second painting contest, starting Wednesday July
30th. Here’s the rules:
–single model figure (individual or character), 25/28mm, from any
miniatures line we carry and have in the shop.
–must purchase your figure from our shop, starting July 30th.
–all models must be turned in by midnight, Friday September 12th.
–judging and decision made by 4pm Saturday Sept 13th.
–prizes for first place and second place, and youngest entrant.
–prizes are $15 gift certificates for Waterloo Minis.”
